Kate's Hummingbird Hiding Notecards

Hummingbirds are often seen as symbols of hope, joy, resilience and beauty. Their vibrant colors and rapid wing movements evoke a sense of lightness and playfulness. Their ability to hover and move swiftly in different directions also signifies adaptability and perseverance, reminding us to find joy in the present moment and to remain resilient in the face of challenges.

Years of living on the streets of Austin left our friend Kate feeling lost, fearful and uncertain. Kate moved home to Community First! Village in 2021. It took her some time to acclimate to her new home and community, but she found healing and restoration here. A self-described free spirit, Kate inherited her flair for creativity and discovery from her parents. Along with writing, poetry and singing, Kate is an artist. These beautiful notecards feature her painting, "Hummingbird Hiding." Kate recently moved to a new community, but her vibrant personality and art remain a positive and inspirational influence for our staff and neighbors.
