Jessica Moore, the author of DandyLion's Magnificent Journey and a neighbor here at Community First! Village was born in North Carolina in 1978. She was taken from her birth mother at 18 months and placed in foster care until she was adopted at age four. Because Jessica is autistic, she often finds it easiest to explain herself to others through rhyming. Jessica is transgender and has been homeless most of her life. As an outcast in society, her devout Christian faith helped her cope with the frequent cruelty of others. DandyLion’s Magnificent Journey is, in many ways, an autobiography of Jessica’s own journey to find acceptance and love in Christ.

This book that is written by Jessica Moore, is such a wonderful gift to give to the children in your life. I've purchased this many times to give as a Christmas gift. This will become a favorite book for whoever you purchase it for.
Oh my goodness! I read this book for the first time and I cried. I think this book is so relatable to really just about everyone. I think it is a must read for all little kids (and big ones too!) We all want to belong. We all want to be fully loved and fully known and this little book tells you exactly whom you'll get that from. I've also met the author and she is a pure delight. I can't praise this book enough.
